The Fairfield University Esports Club is seeking support to attend a regional Local Area Network (LAN) tournament in the MAAC at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland. This would be our only opportunity this season to compete in-person after a planned season of playing all of our regular matches online. Due to rising club fees and dues, it has become more difficult for students to independently cover the additional costs of travel and participation.
This event brings together MAAC universities in a live setting, giving our players the chance to face opponents directly and represent Fairfield University on stage. Participating will provide our students with valuable team experience, strengthen camaraderie, and reflect Fairfield’s commitment to supporting competition, as well as inclusive, student-driven activities. In addition to the competition itself, the LAN will offer opportunities to connect with other collegiate teams and professionals in a growing field.
