The Friends of Baseball Gift Fund helps provide the needed operational funds to cover expenses associated with operating a Championship Division I program. The 2026 season marked the conclusion of a successful era for Fairfield Baseball as longtime Head Coach Bill Currier concluded his distinguished career, with Brian Fay set to take over the program in 2027 following his tenure as Associate Head Coach. As the Stags enter a new chapter, the program will continue to build upon its championship culture and tradition of excellence. Fairfield had a strong showing at the conference level, earning the No. 3 seed in the MAAC Championships and advancing to the championship final after victories over Marist and Niagara, along with a dramatic nine-run comeback against Rider. The Stags ultimately finished as the tournament runner-up in a winner-take-all final. Fairfield also swept three of the five major MAAC awards, including Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and Rookie of the Year, while earning multiple All-Championship Team selections. The program’s continued success was further recognized with a MLB Draft selection, continuing Fairfield Baseball’s tradition of developing student-athletes at the highest level.
